words in movies
Joey: No, yeah, no, ok, but not yet. I don't wanna seem too eager. One Mississippi, two Mississippi, three Mississippi. That seems pretty cool. (he walks over to her) Hey, Angela.
Rachel: Joey, just ignore the boats all right? Were not finished with the lesson yet.
Ross: Y'know, we work in a museum of natural history, and yet there is something unnatural about the way we eat lunch. Now, I look around this cafeteria, and yknow what I see, I see-I see division. Division, between people in white coats and people in blue blazers, and I ask myself, "My God why?!" Now, I say we shed these-these coats that separate us, and we get to know the people underneath. (He takes off his coat and throws it down.) Im Ross! Im divorced, and I have a kid!
ROSS: I don't believe this. I miss, I miss the first time of everything. I missed, what, the first time he rolled over, the first time he crawled. What else did I miss? Has he spoken yet, is he driving, does he have a favorite liquour?
(The sitcom begins with its familiar refrain, yet with a Latin lilt. Rachel and Monica do a little dance with their chopsticks, and Phoebe has to grin as Ross joins in the rhythm.)
Joey: Oh and (Ross begins to open the door and Joey says some gibberish word to indicate to Ross that hes not done yet. Ross closes the door again.) Okay, and uh if anyone needs help pretending to like it, I learned something in acting class, try uh, rubbing your stomach (Rubs his stomach) or uh, or saying mmm and uh, oh oh! And smiling (Smiles while pretending to stir a bowl), okay?
Katie: You're so sweet! (Punches Rachel yet again.)
Ross: Yeah I-I dont-I dont think Im quite there yet, but I could say I looove spending time with you.
Monica: (startled) Ahh! Arent you dressed yet?
MONICA: You guys haven't gotten your presents yet? Tomorrow's Christmas Eve, what're ya gonna do?
Rachel: Why arent you home yet?!
A Waiter in Drag: (to Chandler and Monica) Has someone taken your order yet?
Monica: Have you found your dress yet?
Joey: Oh well, its not on TV yet.
The Dry Cleaner: Well, then its not on the wall yet.
Ross: You haven't by any chance chosen a groomsman yet, have you?
ROSS: Oh look, I can't believe this. Look, homo-habilus hasn't even learned how to use tools yet and they've got him here wi, with clay pots. Why don't, why don't they just give him a microwave? I'm sorry, I'm sorry this is taking so long, ya know, I, I, it's just it's longer than I expected, we will have dinner.
Rachel: Yeah honey, Im standing right there! Why didnt you just tell him about the mole I havent got checked yet.
Waiter: I know! I havent even read them the specials yet!
Monica: And yet, here we are doing it again.
[Time Lapse: the crowd has left and only Mona, Monica, Joey, and Phoebe are still watching to see who will be able to move the others arm first. An event that has yet to happen.]
Joey: I dont know! (All excited) I havent totally decided how to talk on my boat yet.
Monica: I cant believe you. You still havent told that girl she doesnt have a job yet?
Joey: (entering the hall) Oh man! Aren't you guys done yet?! I wanna sit in my chair!
[Scene: Chandler and Joey's, Joey, Ross, Monica, and now Chandler are still playing catch. The guys are exhausted and sitting around the room. Monica is still standing all pumped up and being hyper-competitive yet again. {Okay! We get it! She's competitive!! Must we see all the time?!}]
[Time lapse, Monica and Chandler have changed rooms yet again.]
Phoebe: Nope, not knocked up yet.
Phoebe: Are you two talking about the same baby? Hey! Have you started off thinking of names yet?
Rachel: (hugging him) So did you read your evaluation yet?
Rachel: Pheebs, I can't believe he hasn't kissed you yet. I mean God, by my sixth date with Paolo, I mean he had already named both my breasts! ...Ooh. Did I just share too much?
Phoebe: Not yet, no. (Drops his hand and moves back.)
Phoebe: Wow. So, okay, maybe that means that, youre not over Ross yet and you have issues with your father.
Ross: Look, I (He has trouble sitting in his chair.) Look, Im having a great time with you and I just dont want us to move to fast or put to much pressure on us. So, Im sorry I just dont think we should go away together yet. Its-its too soon.
Phoebe: Hey! Ooh, did you do it yet?
Phoebe: Well, it was just, it was all so crazy, you know. I mean, Chandler was in the closet, counting to 10, and he was up to 7 and I hadn't found a place to hide yet. I-I-I meant to tell you, and I wrote it all down on my hand. See, all of it. (shows him her hand)
Monica: I'm sure everything's fine. Has her water broke yet?
Janice: No, it isn't, because you won't let that happen. Don't you know it yet? You love me, Chandler Bing.
Phoebe: Oh please, these guys, we haven't even moved in yet and they have us picking out china patterns. (Mike seems to gag a little...and laughs nervously. They begin to leave. Phoebe bolts back)
Phoebe: Oh we do, but not just yet.
Chandler: Right. So uh, have you written yours yet?
Ross: Oh and you know what, it will be even better tomorrow, because I won't be constantly interrupted by Joey checking to see if they put chocolates on my pillow yet. (Someone knocks on the door, Ross goes to open and it's Joey, Rachel and Chandler).
ROSS: Wow, well uh, uh, actually, Julie's downstairs getting a cab, I just need the cat toy, did Monica say. . . What? Why, why are you looking at me like that? RACH: I don't know, I, I feel like I had a dream about you last night but I, I don't remember. ROSS: OK. Oh, oh, oh. [runs over and picks up the cat toy] RACH: Did we speak on the phone last night? Did you call me? ROSS: No, I stayed at Julie's last night. RACH: Huh. ROSS: Oh, actually I haven't even been home yet. Do you mind if I check my messages? RACH: Oh yeah, go ahead. [Rachel walks in her room. Ross picks up the phone and dials his machine to check his messages.] ROSS: Rach, I got a message from you. [pauses] Who's Michael? [Rachel comes out of her room, suddenly she remembers leaving the message.]
Rachel: Not yet.
Phoebe: So, how are things going with crazy? Has she cooked your rabbit yet?
Joey: Well, hes too shy, he doesnt thing hes good enough to dance with girls yet.
Rachel: Yeah, me neither. Yet
ROSS: No, that, that was, I mean, as opposed to uh, the uh, ok. Is this over yet Rach?
Rachel: Well I assume the ah, happy couple isnt up yet. Did you guys hear them last night?
Mona: Im not sure yet. Why didnt you just tell me about all this?
Mike: Oh, you haven't picked yet. Oh good, 'cause I had an idea. I thought it would be fun if the third groomsman was my family dog. Chappy.
Joey: (entering the hall) Oh man! Aren't you guys done yet?!
Phoebe: Congratulations! I didnt want to say anything in front of Joey cause I didnt know if he knew yet.
Chandler: Ooh, I dont know if were there yet.
Rachel: No, not yet.
Monica: Youre not dressed yet?! Were supposed to start having fun in 15 minutes!
Ross: And yet somehow its true!
Chandler: Hey! Do we have a baby name yet?
Chandler: So, do you know what youre gonna call her yet?
Phoebe: Monica slow down! Ok? I'm just excited to be living with him. You know I mean, I don't know, Can I see someday being married to Mike? Sure! Yeah. Y'know..I can picture myself walking down the aisle in a wedding dress that highlights my breasts in an obvious yet classy way. But do I want that house in Connecticut...you know..near the good schools where Mike and I can send Sophie and Mike Junior.. Oh my god I do.
Chandler: And yet, believable. So I decided not to fire her again until I can be assured that she will be no threat to herself, or others.
Chandler: Okay and he hasnt proposed yet because she has no ring on her finger.
Monica: Okay. (They walk away to get some privacy.) We have got to beat them! {Here we go yet again.}
Ross: (Enters) Oh good, you haven't left yet.
CHANDLER: Damn. My mail order grandfather hasn't come yet.
Colleen: I'll go get him in a second. By the way, you should know we haven't told him he's adopted yet.
[Scene: The Western front during World War I, Phoebe, in yet another past life, is once again a nurse tending to yet another dying soldier. But this time she's doing it with a French accent.]
Mrs. Green: Oh my look at that. Only three weeks to go, now have you picked your nanny yet? Now I dont want you to use your housekeeper cause it would just split her focus.
Ross: The chocolates aren't here yet.
Chandler: No, not yet.
Monica: Is Amanda here yet?
Ross: Oh, I thought you guys had just been on like four dates, I didnt realise that had become anything, yet.
Chandler: Okay Ross has the cameras, has he checked out yet?
Monica: (running from the bathroom to her room, wearing only a towel) Not yet! Not yet! Not yet! Not yet! Not yet! Not yet! Not yet! Not yet! (gets to her room and closes the door, as Rachel gets up to answer the door.)
Joey: Oh! Any word on casting yet?
RACH: OK, so that's... that's what, two bottles? And yet somehow we went through five?
Phoebe: Have you two, you know... like... you know... you know... yet?
Dr. Long: Do we have a name yet?
Joey: (yelling through the door) Can we come it yet?! Were dying out here!
Phoebe: Yeah, but remember you said you ordered something special, and it just hasn't come yet?
Ross: Well I I havent actually told her yet. I dont want to scare her off, yknow?
Ross: Yeah, pants, what, what an idea. Or better yet, um, how 'bout you go without any pants. Look, I don't know what you're trying to do to me, but just get your butt in there and pick out any shoes that fit your feet, okay. No, no I don't care if they match. I don't care if they make your ankles or your knees or your earlobes look fat. Okay.
Phoebe: Hey, does Monica know about her broken plates yet?
Vince: No-no its okay. Its just that ah, I thought we had something pretty special here. And y'know I-I felt like you were someone I could finally open up to, and (starts choking up) That theres so much in me I have to share with you yet.
Rachel: And yet she was worth jeopardising our relationship!!
Ross: No, because she hasnt come home yet. And she hasnt been home all night! Shes obviously staying with that other guy, and Im the stupid moron who spent the whole night outside her apartment!
Ross: The uh, the baby that hasn't been born yet? Wouldn't that mean you're... crazy?
Monica: Theres still so much to do. Have you written your vows yet?
"Went to the store, sat on Santa's lap. Asked him to bring my friends all kinds of crap. Said all you need is to write them a song. Now, you haven't heard it yet, so don't try to sing along. No, don't sing along.
Phoebe: Not yet. Umm, I heard they really hurt, do they hurt?
Chandler: Yes, and we'd appreciate it if no one told him yet.
Rachel: Phoebe the father is not here okay? I havent told him yet and I dont think I can tell him at all now!
Phoebe: So youre not homesick yet?
Rachel: (she hurries after him) Wait, we still have time to talk and theyre-they're not even in the car yet! (She takes a quick look down the street.) Oh look, there they go, okay. (She hurries in, too)
Chandler: No! No! I dont want him to know were yet! Im not sure Im ready for that. And besides hes not gonna be too happy to see me either.
Monica: All right, so I havent cleared the budget with my parents yet, but tell me how this is for music.
Monica: (sounds desperate, knowing what Rachel is trying to do) I haven't really settled on a spot yet!
Frank: (To Phoebe) Hey! Am I late? Am I late? Nobody came out yet, right?
[Scene: The Semi-Private Labor Room, theyre brining in yet another woman.]
Joey: I still havent gotten a check for your half yet.
Joey: You are so the man! (motions him to come in, and he does) Now look, listen, listen, you got to be cool, cause my Grandma doesnt know about you two yet, and you do not want to tick her off. She was like the sixth person to spit on Mussolini's hanging body. Yeah.
Phoebe: I mean, well, 'cause when I was growing up, you know my dad left, and my mother died, and my stepfather went to jail, so I barely had enough pieces of parents to make one whole one. And here's this little baby who has like three whole parents who care about it so much that they're fighting over who gets to love it the most. And it's not even born yet. It's just, it's just the luckiest baby in the whole world. (pause) I'm sorry, you were fighting.
