Chandler: Hey, look, this name has been holding me back my entire life. Okay, its probably why kids picked on me in school, and why I never do well with women So, as of 4 oclock tomorrow, Im either gonna be Mark Johnson or John Markson.
Ross: Well, I still think I was right about that whole Mark thing.
Mark: Actually, its kinda my fault. I-I quit today.
Ross: Hmmm. Oh, no, no, I just thinking about something funny I heard today. Umm, Mark, Mark saying Ill see you Saturday.
[Scene: Central Perk, Rachel is telling Phoebe about Mark, as Gunther eavesdrops behind them.]
Mark: Yep. Yep, thats what I didnt want to know.
(Ross finally looks at the woman kissing Mark.)
Rachel: Did he call? Did Mark call?
Rachel: (turns around) Mark? Oh my God! (puts the box on the chair and they hug each other)
Ross: Is this about Mark?
Rachel: (to Ross) Oh my God!! (she turns around and hugs Mark, not Ross)
Mark: Hi. I just talked to Joanna, and she loves you. You got it, you got the job.
Mark: Okay, okay look, I know I'm being Mr. Inappropriate today, but it's just so tough, I mean see you walking around and I just wanna touch you and hold you, come on no one's around, just, just kiss me.
[Rachel comes out of her apartment, followed by Mark, and they leave on their date, without saying a word to Ross. Ross is stunned.]
Ross: Yeah well, if I know Mark, and I think I do, Id expect nothing less.
Rachel: Oh, please tell me its not because Im going with Mark.
Rachel: (on answering machine) Hi, its me. Ive been trying to reach you all night. I feel awful. Please, Ross, you gotta know there is nothing between me and Mark. This whole break-up thing is just stupid.
Rachel: Shes totally right! When we were together, you got all freaked out about Mark and there was nothing going on.
(She sits down, and Mark leans over and kisses her. Rachel doesnt react. He tries it again, and Rachel jumps back quickly.)
Mark: (reaching through the flowers) Do you have the, the Ralph Lauren file?
Ross: Mark is that ah, the same Mark that helped you get the job?
Ross: That guy Mark. From Bloomingdale's... She thinks he's just being nice to her. But I know he really wants to sleep with her.
Mark: I can't help it, I'm just, I'm just crazy about you.
Rachel: Oh yeah? Did he pull the old (She is waving her hand up and down her face. Shes thinking about the pencil mark.)

Mark: Clever. (back to Rachel) So how are you?

Rachel: Well, oh, Mark, Im doing this for the wrong reasons, y'know? Im just doing it to get back at Ross. Im sorry, its not very fair to you.
