[Scene: Central Perk, everyone is there but Ross and Joey. Gunther hands them the bill, and Chandler gives some money to pay it.]
Rachel: Yeah, I guess Gunther is kinda
Gunther: (To the guy) Get out!
(He turns and looks at her. The woman whispers something to Gunther; who comes back and takes the mug away from Chandler.)
Gunther: I'll take it all.
Gunther: You can't.
Ross: Yeah. You can help me get my furniture back from Gunther.
[Scene: Central Perk, Gunther is serving Monica and Rachel.]
Gunther: Here's your scone.
GUNTHER: That sucks. I was buried in an avalanche.
Gunther: But then I'd have to go all the way around the dry cleaner place.
Rachel: I mean I think Id say no to anybody right now. (Hearing this Gunther swoops back to cleaning tables.) Oh, but it was so strange. I mean Im standing there with this charming, cute guy, whos asking me to go out with him, which Im allowed to do, and I felt guilty. Y'know, like Id be cheating on Ross or something.
Gunther: Here you go. (Serves them both some coffee.)
Monica: If you would stop thinking about Ross for one minute you would notice that there are great guys everywhere! I mean, look! Look, Gunther! (Gunther turns to listen in.) I mean, he's nice, he's cute.
[Scene: Central Perk, Rachel is telling Phoebe about Mark, as Gunther eavesdrops behind them.]
Gunther: Thanks Rachel. And-and don't forget you-you can come visit her anytime you want.
Gunther: (To Ross) Hey! So what is this? Some kind of snake or something?
Rachel: Well, actually Gunther sent me. Youre not allowed to have cups out here, its a thing. (takes her cup and goes back inside)
Gunther: (bringing Chandler a cup) This is from the woman at the bar.
Gunther: Oh, I was going to offer you my apartment.
[Scene: Central Perk, Rachel is sitting at the counter waiting for Gunther, yep Gunthers back, to refill her coffee.]
(Gunther brings Janine a coffee)
Gunther: Oh, Ross? Ross! You can't put up flyers in here.
Joey: Theres a lost and found? (Gunther sets the box up on the table.) My shoe! (Grabs it out of the box.)
(Just as they're about to leave, Gunther comes out of the back carrying two garbage bags. Larry sees this and stops him.)
Gunther: I dont know.
Gunther: (handing Joey the bill) Here you go.
Joey: Nah, its okay. Right, Gunther? (Winks at him as if theyre in on a secret together.)
Gunther: Well, if you want, you can work here.
Gunther: Thats the whole part?
(Gunther looks at the joke and laughs.)
Gunther: Yeah, that-that Chandler cracks me up.
Gunther: (approaching with a tray with an order on it) Joey!
Gunther: Okay, Ill see you in an hour.
Gunther: Okay.
Gunther: He can have his job back.
Gunther: No!
Gunther: For all the free food you gave away.
Gunther: Youre paying for that.
Gunther: Yeah, thats what I drive. I make four bucks an hour, I saved up for 350 years!
Gunther: So I understand youre looking for a place.
Joey: Okay, now uh, in terms of the invite list, Ive got you, me, and Chandler and Im gonna invite Gunther cause, well, weve been talking about this pretty loud.
Rachel: (to Gunther) Ill take a coffee. (To Ross) So how was your big date last night?
Gunther: What did I tell you about talking to your friends while youre working?
Monica: Gunther, can I get a coffee (Looks at Chandler) to go?
Gunther: Do you still work here?
Joey: Hey Gunther.
Gunther: Oh thats cool, I was gonna fire you anyway.
Gunther: Here you go.
GUNTHER: I used to be Bryce on All My Children.
(Ross throws a punch, but Joey ducks and Ross punches the pole. Ross then screams from the pain and turns to Gunther, and Gunther has a huge smile on his face.)
[Scene: Central Perk, Ross is trying to prevent Gunther from spilling the beans.]
Joey: Hey Gunther, dont let that guy in here anymore! He just said Phoebes a porn star!
[Scene: Central Perk, Monica, Rachel, and Chandler are there as Ross enters and sees Gunther.]
[Scene: Central Perk, Joey is singing Happy Birthday to yet another good-looking woman. Gunther is watching and is not very happy.]
[Scene: Central Perk, Gunther is serving Chandler and Monica coffee.]
Gunther: Maybe nobody won the jackpot, but there was this guy in here earlier, and he found the ticket on the street, right outside, and won $10,000 (goes to the counter).
Gunther: Well, we kissed. I-I-I didn't initiate the kiss, but-but I also didn't stop it, and I've been feeling guilty.
Rachel: Oh, well, we can hand it to Gunther and he'll put it in lost and found.
Gunther: Okay, but only if you give me a drag.
(A woman walks up to Gunther in the background.)
Phoebe: Oh, well what are you doing here? Are you about to do it? (Gasps) Is it Gunther?
Gunther: I wasnt invited.
Ross: (shocked) Gunther?!
Gunther: (laughs) Good one. Actually, ah, Terry wants you to take the training again, whenever.
Rachel: No! Phoebe, its not Gunther.
Gunther: No. No, I havent seen him.
Ross: Gunther have you uh, have you seen Chandler?
Ross: Gunther! Gunther. Gunther, please tell me you didnt say anything to Rachel about me and the girl from the Xerox place.
Gunther: And when you have a second later, I wanna show you why we dont just trap spiders under coffee mugs and leave them there.
Gunther: I don't know if you heard about what happened between me and Phoebe the other day_
Ross: (finds the word in the book) Ezel! (Reads the translation.) Hey Gunther! Youre an ezel!
Rachel: Okay, fine. Gunther, y'know what, I am a terrible waitress, do you know why Im a terrible waitress? Because, I dont care. I dont care. I dont care which pot is regular and which pot is decaf, I dont care where the tray spot is, I just dont care, this is not what I want to do. So I dont think I should do it anymore. Im gonna give you my weeks notice.
Phoebe: Thank you. (To Gunther, who's standing there frozen) Okay, go! Go! Go! (He runs off.) (To Larry) Now, if after dinner you still really need to bust someone, I know a hot dog vendor who picks his nose.
Monica: (Interrupting) Oh, what about that guy over there? (She points at another guy and Gunther is deflated.) Remember? That is the guy you flirted with at the counter that time.
Gunther: We dont give anything away unless its someones birthday.
Gunther: Really?
Rachel: Oh Gunther! You brought candy! Thank you so much for picking this up! You are so sweet.
JOEY: Hey Gunther, let me get a lemonade to go.
Phoebe: Oh, Gunther, can I get a scone?
Rachel: Um, excuse me, everyone. Ah, this is my last night working here, and I ah, just wanted say that I made some really good friends working here, and ah, its just time to move on. (at the counter Gunther starts to cry and runs into the back room) Ah, and no offence to everybody who ah, still works here, you have no idea how good it feels to say that as of this moment I will never have to make coffee again.
Gunther: No, Im leaving to get my hair dyed.
[Scene: Central Perk, Gunther is behind the counter as Ross enters looking for Chandler.]
Gunther: We have red bagels.
Gunther: (to Joey) You want anything?
Gunther: Rachel?!!
Joey: Well, I had the audition but Gunther said I had to stay here and be in charge so he could go get his hair dyed. So, I went anyway, and then he fired me.
Gunther: Can I get you anything?
Gunther: So I guess Rachel had you baby?
Gunther: Your muffins. (Sets down a huge plate of muffins in front of Joey.)
Gunther: Hey! Take these cappuccinos to table 11 and that guy over there (points) wants the biscotti.
[Scene: Central Perk, Ross is reading some book and Gunther serves him a cup of coffee.]
(Gunther gets this hurt expression on his face and goes into the back room)
Gunther: Diapers huh?
Gunther: Nope! I still cant believe she slept with you in the first place.
Gunther: HA!
(She gets up and goes over to Chandler who's ordering some coffee from Gunther.)
Gunther: HA!
Gunther: Jij spreekt Nederlands? Dat is te gek. Heb je familie daar? (Translation: You speak Dutch That's cool. Do you have relatives there?)
Mrs. Geller: The sexy blonde behind the counter. (She waves at Gunther who waves back.)
